Dear Colleagues,

Great news - Methods of Teaching Agriculture if officially re-published!

This is my favorite Methods book of all time, so I truly hoped it could return to circulation, and it has! For free! (You are welcome!)

For me, the best chapter will always be Chapter 2 on Principles of Teaching and Learning. I love this chapter! I hope you do, too!

The online version of the book can be found here.

The PDF and EPUB files, along with a link for people to order print copies directly from Amazon can be found here.

Much appreciated to Virginia Tech Libraries and Anita Waltz! Virginia Tech is Dr. Newcomb, senior author's, undergraduate alma mater, so this is special. Thank you for working with me on this heartfelt project, Anita!

As I wrote in this re-published dedication, "Methods of Teaching Agriculture is the genius of its original authors, L.H. Newcomb, J. Robert Warmbrod, and J. David McCracken. This textbook is dedicated to them.

For decades, the profession has embraced Methods of Teaching Agriculture as a seminal authority on developing master teachers. As Dr. Newcomb shared in an interview in 2021, "our goal was not just to have a text that was a good fit for the OSU methods course, but to provide a resource to have positive influence on the caliber of methods instruction nationally."

"This book has served that purpose for thousands of preservice teachers across the country. It is important, therefore, that Methods of Teaching Agriculture continues to support the preparation of master teachers for decades to come."

Please use and enjoy as I have for many years!

Warmly,
Dr. M. Susie Whittington, PhD
