Donate to the Rick & Marilyn Parker NACTA Faculty Engagement Award

As you may know, Rick and Marilyn Parker will be stepping back from their roles as Journal Editor and Secretary/Treasurer after the June 2019 conference. The NACTA Executive Committee has discussed ways that the organization could recognize Rick and Marilyn’s 20+ years of distinguished service to NACTA. To this end, the NACTA Foundation is seeking contributions to support a new award named in honor of the Parkers: The Rick and Marilyn Parker NACTA Faculty Engagement Award.

The Parker Award will focus on helping to increase the engagement of new members to become regular contributors and future leaders of NACTA. Funds from the award will support these faculty members to return to the annual NACTA Conference after a first-time attendance.

Our goal is to raise adequate funds to announce the new award at the upcoming June 2019 conference in Twin Falls, Idaho. It will be especially fitting to honor Rick and Marilyn in their home state and upon their retirement from active leadership of NACTA. Thus, we would appreciate a timely response so we can ensure the award can be permanently endowed with the NACTA Foundation.

There are several ways to contribute to the project: donate online using the NACTA Donate button on the upper right corner of this web page. Or you can donate by check made out to “The NACTA Foundation” (indicate for the Parker Engagement Award) and send to 151 West 100 South, Rupert, ID 83350. Finally, you can donate using a credit card via phone by calling NACTA headquarters at (208) 957-7001.

We are looking forward to your support.

Please contact Ann Marie VanDerZanden, NACTA President if you have questions or would like more information.

Thank you.
