|Important Message about the Annual Issue of the NACTA Journal
This year the NACTA Journal Annual Issue will be published electronically. Current members can download a copy by visiting the NACTA website and selecting "Journal" from the Homepage main menu. As always, all four issues are available and searchable on the NACTA website.
NACTA Conference Workshop Guidelines and Call for Proposals
Submission deadline: February 5, 2019
Workshop proposals are encouraged from NACTA members, NACTA committees, and the conference host institution. Committees have the option to co-sponsor a workshop with another committee but this is not required. The Educational Issues and Teaching Improvement (EITI) Committee will encourage a thematic workshop from the host institution each year. Workshops should emphasize participation, often with hands-on or problem solving efforts. Workshops usually have a narrow focus or interest that will appeal to a smaller audience. Abstracts will now be accepted until February 5, 2019.
The 2019 NACTA Conference at the College of Southern Idaho (CSI), June 18–21, will serve as a venue for faculty and graduate students in agricultural, environmental, natural, and life sciences to share their scholarship of teaching, innovative teaching and advising ideas, and other relevant teaching and learning information through the theme of "Connecting to STEM.” Read more...
Submissions Deadline Extended for NACTA Journal Special Issue Manuscripts “Engaging Students in Global Agriculture”
Manuscripts will now be accepted until May 15, 2019.
NACTA invites educators to contribute to a special issue of the NACTA Journal focused on “Engaging Students in Global Agriculture.” The special issue aims to make contributions to the scholarship of global teaching and learning in the agricultural sciences through the publication of vigorous original research. Recognizing that there are many venues for teaching and learning about global agriculture, this special issue will encompass research on global learning activities that take place both domestically and abroad.
